'0' AHI - "Is machine broken"?

RE: '0' AHI - "Is machine broken"?
You did not have a perfect night (or your machine is really broken!). The pressure increased and decreased at various times over the night. The only reason for is if there were flow limitations, snoring, apneas, hypopneas etc. But none of those events got recorded or at least they are not showing up in SH. Was it just this night, or are previous nights the same?

Previous nights have 0.94, 1.02, 1.54, & 0.8 for AHI, so to answer your question - the '0' ahi apparently was isolated and definitely a fluke.

How can I know if the machine is broken?

There were flow limitations -- note text in lower left of screenshot.
That likely increased pressure. No events were flagged.

OK, I'm convinced. You had a zero AHI night.

RE: '0' AHI - "Is machine broken"?
There is another possibility. I have reported a situation in Sleepyhead to Mark which results in it reporting AHI of zero. To see if this is your case:

1. Copy/move the Sleepyhead folder from it's current location.
2. Start Sleepyhead and fill out all the questions again.
3. Import all the data from your card again.
4. Check the report that said AHI=0.

The cause the bug/problem is not important, but it is very repeatable. Mark has said he doesn't think it is solvable in SH. So, if it happens and you don't think that day was really a zero, try this and see if it works. Because of how I use SH I have to do this every few days - sigh.

BTW, rebuilding the data doesn't help - nothing helps except a clean reimporting of the data.

EDIT: BE SURE to save the copied data folder, so if things go sideways you can always replace it and be back to where you are now.

Congratulations on the good numbers, GrammaBear. Sadly, the 0 AHIs don't last long, so enjoy it while you can.

The pressure increased and decreased during the night, I am fairly certain this is the bug I mentioned above.

I have an S9 Autoset. For a couple of weeks, my daily AHI read zero. It did not seem right. I powered off the unit, powered it back on and it has been normal. All zeros has not happened again.

RE: '0' AHI - "Is machine broken"?
Pressure can increase due to flow limitations and snores. I don't think GrammaBear has these flags enabled on her events graph, but could be occurring and cause pressure increase...but since those events aren't counted, that still equals an AHI of 0.

I have had an AHI of 0, but still recorded Flow Limitations.

Lets see what happens tonight. Let us know. Sleep-well
