1 Month into CPAP - Still Exhausted. What Data to Post?
Hey all,
I'm 1 month into CPAP treatment for severe OSA. I've used it every night and I don't notice any reduction in daytime sleepiness. In fact, I'd say it's a bit worse.
It hasn't been difficult for me to acclimate to CPAP, mostly because I'm used to sleeping with 'uncomfortable' thing - first Invisalign braces, then an oral appliance for sleep apnea (which ultimately wasn't able to treat the OSA, hence the switch to CPAP).
I've set up Sleepyhead and have been casually looking at the various graphs, though I don't see anything that jumps out at me as a red flag. My reported AHI is down 2-3, on average.
I'm happy to post screenshots of data, just not sure what to post that's most helpful. Overall statistics? Detailed charts from a random night of sleep? Let me know your thoughts! I appreciate it.

Thanks, OpalRose! That sheds some light on which graphs to post. How much data is good to post? Should I just choose a couple days?

Start with two nights where your AHI was on the higher end of things or you felt extra bad the next day. And zoom in on a 5 minute period where events are marked (not at a going to sleep or waking up point as those times are not reliable).

Here are 3 nights - 2 on the high end and 1 more around the low end of average, for comparison.

Very briefly: your pressure is too low as you keep having events when it is maxed out, you have a bit of a leak problem with the mask you need to work on, and you probably want to start inching your minimum pressure up.

Your profile pressure range is different than the SH graphs. Either way, your minimum pressure and max pressure is not optimal for you.
You have mostly Obstructives and according to your pressure graph, you need a higher minimum pressure to treat those events.
I would change the minimum pressure to 7 and more likely ending up at 8, and open up max pressure to 12 to see where the machine wants to go.

Ah, yeah - for the first two it's different (5-9). The last one is more recent and reflects a change I made to 6-9.6. I'll up the minimum to 7 and the max to 12 and see how things go. Thanks

Give it at least a week to settle out like that before you make additional changes. You may find that you need to increase both min and max further.
