1st OSCAR Post
Background:
  • Been on CPAP for about 2 months now, tried several masks but now on P30i which I like
  • Have tried chin strap and taping to stop mouth leaks
  • Still feeling tired and foggy headed
  • Original AHI diagnosis was around 21
Attached is last night, how do I read this? Is there a Primer post on deciphering this data?

Do I need to try a collar?

Thanks,

John

Welcome to the forum.

No you are not a candidate for using a collar.

Try EPR = 2 for comfort. Your call, which feels better your current EPR= 1 or the EPR= 2?

Repeat with EPR= 3, again for comfort.

Read OSCAR, the Guide wiki article, link in my signature.

I have tried all the EPR values so far, right now 1 feels right but not sure what you mean by comfort. I'm not battling to breathe out if that is what you are referring to.

I will read your links, thank you!

Any idea why I'm still tired with such a low AHI? Or foggy brained?

John

Likely you have had apnea for years, it can take time to recover. Some have reported years.

Look at Sleep Hygiene. This is an area where most of us are lacking in one way or another.
