I used the medium pillows....wondering if I should try small or large?
I was amazed on how low the pressure remained...it's been low with the nasal mask, but not as low it was last night....and zero AHI.
Thanks for the opinions!

1st night with P10 leak rate?
Last night was my first night with the P10 nasal pillows. I see a constant leak rate...even if small. Is that normal? I am new to APAP and used the dreamwear last week and the leaks were periodic.

RE: 1st night with P10 leak rate?
The leak rate looks okay to me, mine typically runs higher than that. I see others post here that have almost zero leak rates, but I have never achieved that. I am beginning to think there are leaks in the machine that are due to connection fittings etc that create sort of a baseline that I can't get lower than.
Anyway, I used to obsess over the leak rate, now I am happy if it is 12 or below. I would try the larger pillows to see if they are more comfortable and possibly seal better. When I try my P10's occasionally, I still flip flop between the large and medium, the large is much more comfortable for me.

Hi christinaleigh and welcome to the forum!
The ResMed machines say anything below 24 is an acceptable leak. So your leaks are fine. Not too much.

RE: 1st night with P10 leak rate?
Give all sizes a try. DME said I was a small. That lasted 1 day. My favorite is the large but I am revisiting the medium.
As for the low (constant) leak. That is a mask thing. I had the same thing. Next mask started at zero. I assume the machine can detect small differences in the vent mesh.
CPAP is a journey like “The Wizard of Oz”. It’s a long slow journey. You will face many problems and pick up many friends along the way. Just because you reach the poppies, it doesn’t mean you are in Kansas.

Make sure you change the mask setting on the Airsense from nasal mask to nasal pillows . . .

RE: 1st night with P10 leak rate?
Thank you. I did change the mask setting on the machine.
Last night I tried the small pillows and had more leaks. I even woke up to air blowing a few times because the pillows shifted away. Tonight I will try the large and see how that goes. The medium may be my best bet. With my other mask (dreamwear nasal mask) I had zero leaks for several nights, so I was surprised to see the leaks with the nasal pillows because I felt sooooo much better with the nasal pillows. I guess there is an acceptable range, so I'm good....there's so much to learn!

I use it as a backup and also find lower leak rates with the Dreamwear. RE: 1st night with P10 leak rate?
I switched because to get zero leaks, I had to adjust in the middle of the night. When I rolled side to side, the dreamwear would move/shift due to the soft silicone. I'm very active in my sleep. Due to the movements, the headgear also moved up so I would have to move it. I had to keep the Dreamwear very tight...and it wasn't comfortable.
