3rd party filters? And no SD Card? (ResMed AirSense 10)

3rd party filters? And no SD Card? (ResMed AirSense 10)
First question, my medical supplier gives me these 3rd party brand filters (although apparently they are also covered by insurance). Should I be using only ResMed branded filters?  They actually feel different, especially around the edges.

Second question, my ResMed AirSense 10 did not come with an SD card, at least what my medical store gave me. Should I put one in it?  And if I buy one from Best Buy, will it automatically start recording my sleep data to the card?

You can request ResMed brand filters, not sure they will give it to you. I suppose it saves them $$$ to supply off brand filters.

Any SD card will work, from 2GB to 32GB.

Personally I always use ResMed filters. For some reason this is one thing I don't wish to deal with generic.

SD card... Walmart, Best Buy, Staples even a digital photo/camera stores has an SD. This doesn't need say ResMed or Respironics, etc. It does need to be between 2-32 GB, standard SD or SDHC, formatted to FAT32. Your PAP can format when you first insert the SD onto the machine. It must also be dedicated to PAP use. And it must be unlocked with the lock tab before inserted into the PAP.
