There are many such monuments in Bomber Country, remembering former bases or the loss of an individual aircraft.
A good time to remember who our friends were and still are, I hope.

That was put together by Andy Swinnen who is Dutch.
There are still people is Europe who honor the sacrifices made to free Europe from the Nazis.
Andy tends to graves at the American Cemetery in the Ardennes Belgium where many Army Air Force dead are buried.
He also tends to graves at the Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten Netherlands.

Of course, without the English countryside, the US could not have flown those missions.
