5 years of muscle fatigue and no relief in sight

RE: 5 years of muscle fatigue and no relief in sight
David01,
I hope you can find a specialist that will run more tests and look into your muscle fatigue with more depth. Five years is too long to suffer from muscle fatigue.

I have absolutely no medical background, but from what you are telling us, it doesn’t sound like SA, but you never know. If you suffer at all with any of the symptoms listed in above posts, then have your doctor schedule a sleep test just for peace of mind. And just so your aware, there are many folk that don’t have the obvious symptoms of SA, but get tested and find that they do have SA.

Good luck!

No statins, as per above, I only take omeprazol for acid reflux.
Thanks

is there a relationship between statins & muscle or joint pain?

Yes, definitely! Some statins can cause muscle breakdown over time. This is a major reason that I stopped taking a statin years ago. It took about a month before experiencing muscle aching, to the point of not being able to walk well. As soon as I went off statins, within 3 weeks was back to my normal self.
Of course, statins don’t affect everyone that way, but is a known problem.

You can google for more detail information on this subject, as I don’t want to hijack David01 thread as this is not what is causing his muscle fatigue.
