6 years with sleep apnea-still struggling

6 years with sleep apnea-still struggling
I am a new member and looking forward to the Apnea Board.com

I recently received a new CPAP machine (ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet) and switched from an AirFit P10 to an AirFit F20 to try to resolve the air leaks which have hounded me from my first day with a CPAP machine. Now my problem is an exceptionally high API (35.54 last night).

I have an appointment with my sleep doctor on Friday, but I have been trying to get that moved up if possible. So far, no success.

My statistics from last night:
AHI: 35.54
Obstructive apnea index: 22.27
Central apnea index: 11.33

One would think that after using a CPAP for nearly six years, things would improve. Desperately looking for help. Hopefully, the doctor will be able to help at my appointment this week.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. You can get excellent help here but more data will be required. I suggest you download and install sleepyhead software and post data in the forum. You will need at least 4 posts before you can post data but that will be easy as you respond to this and other posts.

You can get SleepyHead here:  https://OSCAR Official Download Page ----> CLICK HERE ./

There should be an SD card in your machine. If not ant SD card will work. You will need one to transfer the data from the AirSense 10 to your PC.

Instructions for installing and using SleepyHead and for organizing and posting your data are in the links below. Feel free to as questions.
Download OSCAR

Organize Charts
Attaching Charts

Mask Primer
Soft Cervical Collar

Welcome to the forum.  You will get help here.

We work from data here and your machine has data.  But a couple of questions first.
Your Original Sleep study, what did it say, especially about Central Apnea.  This is where we learn the nature of your Central Apnea, is it real or likely pressure induced.  In as much detail as you can.

Second, Please download and install Sleepyhead, (free) then organize your charts (important) and upload a screenshot (use IMGUR) to here.  My signature will take you through it.

The people here are very, very good at tweaking therapy, and yours need some tweaking.

Please ask if you have any questions.

I do have SleepyHead software installed, though I will have to refresh myself on how to upload images from it to the Apnea Board site. Thanks for your reply!

My original sleep study was done nearly 6 years ago and I don't have any of the information available unfortunately. Thanks for your help for the uploading procedure.

You should be able to get a copy of your sleep study from the Dr. or clinic that performed it. My study was done 10 years ago but it was just in the last few months that I got seriously involved in my therapy. I contacted my Dr.'s office a couple of weeks ago and they gave me a printed copy of my original study and titration the same day.

I've gone through the process of signing up for imgur and seem to have the image saved, but when I try to post it, it just shows up as a small blue box with a ? inside. Suggestions?

Thanks
