AHI 0.3 after 3 nights on VAUTO

AHI 0.3 after 3 nights on VAUTO
I have logged 3 nights on my new VAUTO.  Made a one tweak after first night and one after second night.  Had only 3 events last night (one CA, one H, one OA) for AHI 0.3.

Observation:  My average IPAP 20.8 and average EPAP 17.0 closely matches my old S9 VPAP settings 21/17.  IPAP does go a bit above 21 a couple of times. The most significant difference I see is drop in number of flow limitations and SNORING.  I always had continuous snoring on VPAP.

Attached are SleepyHead data from last night and one from a night on VPAP with only a single event (AHI 0.14) but significant snoring.  So how is VAUTO changing snoring so much? Are very minor pressure on VAUTO changes during reducing snoring? What tweak might totally eliminate snoring on VAUTO.

Flow Limitations and snores can be related, and should be addressed by increasing pressure support. I would suggest adding to PS slowly. You may find you can drop EPAP Min to 16.

RE: AHI 0.3 after 3 nights on VAUTO
Had EPAP min at 15.0 first night and Ti min was at zero.  So first tweak was to set Ti min at 1.0.  Next was EPAP min to 16.8.

OK, will set EPAP min to 16 and set PS to 4.2 and see what happens.  Thanks.

One other thing I noticed is the change in humidity/temp. I think heating element on my humidifier on old VPAP died as air was not warm at all so just getting passover humidifying. Very first thing I noticed with new VAUTO was warm air instead of cool.

I had read your charts as using an EPAP min of 16.3. Please feel free to keep the lower 15 cm, or even lower, as there are essentially no OA. It appears you can tolerate much lower pressure, but I don't know how you arrived at the current minimum of 16. A slightly higher PS may help, but your flow limits and snores are not a serious problem.

Doc's prescription was EPAP min 15.  But never went below 16. 8 and 95% at 17. 0.  So put EPAP min at 16.6.  Much better with less snoring.
