AHI 2.6 average over six months
Hello,
I have an average AHI of 2.6 over six months. Do you think I still need CPAP? Is there a cut off limit before the NHS will say you no longer require CPAP.
I have been a user for four years.
Thanks
Soupy

RE: AHI 2.6 average over six months
Welcome to Apnea Board. Yes you still need it. You'll probably need it for the rest of your life. The cutoff for treatment is below 5AHI. You have to remember that without the use of your machine your AHI would be much higher than the current 2.6 AHI. If you want to see for yourself put your machine on a fixed pressure of 4cm and see how high your AHI climbs.
