AHI Readings Appear High - New to OSA

RE: AHI Readings Appear High - New to OSA
Livingwithapena, thank you for the suggestion and response.

I'm at 10 which worked during Titration (Ramp 5); it appears to be blowing sufficiently, but maybe not enough to prevent the apneas. I will talk with my Dr regarding any adjustments. They see the same thing I do via modem, albeit with different software which could make a notable difference.

Prima facie, it appears you are walking a fine line between obstructive and central apnea.

An increase in pressure might abate more OSA; but at the cost of creating more CSA.
Since you've only been on CPAP few days, I'd leave it as is for a while. Sometimes people have pressure induce CSA when they first start on CPAP; and it abates with a little time.

You may be starting the gauntlet one must run to get to a machine better suited for mixed apnea. This gauntlet is imposed upon people by insurance and medical protocols.

For now, don't worry about it. Share your concerns with your doctor. And continue the course.

I had to post this screenshot from last night.

What a difference a day can make. It is consistent with the advice of being patient and seeing what happens as your body acclimates. It's what I expect to see...
