Deb, make sure you bring or send ahead copies of your first sleep study. If you don''t have them you could just tell the new doctor's office, over the phone, where they can go to get them. Or you could get them yourself. They have to provide them.

I've always found that being the conduit for my own medical records works best.
Some offices are slow to transfer records. I get the impression that electronic medical records are a myth. I've also found I get better response to my requests for copies when I ask the medical assistants or nurse for the records. The front office is slow to respond. YMMV. I get copies; and distribute them as I deem necessary. Admin Note:

Yes, I have my sleep study records already in my hands! Do you think I should scan and send via email or send hard copies to the new doc?

First visit to a new doc... I'd just hand carry copies.
Actually, it cannot hurt to do both; send them and hand carry them. Bring your medication list (if you take meds) also. I scan mine into my computer so I can print a copy as needed; and, I can FAX directly from the computer if I decide to FAX. Admin Note:
