AHI - different readings on my machine and my software
I am using the resmed system one latest model with bluetooth. Sometimes the readings for the 1 day AHI are completely different between the machine and the software that collects the data. I am using the app supplied by respironics. For example, this morning it says that the AHI is 10 and my machine, but the mobile app says that it is 4. How do I know which one is right?

This same subject has been discussed in the thread below, although we are unable to find out if it is the software or CPAP. I suspect that the software isn't correct.
Are you using the DreamStation? http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...apper-Info

RE: AHI - different readings on my machine and my software
I am a little confused. You say that you are using a Resmed machine but the Respironics app. These are two different animals. If you are actually using a Respironics machine (which it looks like) then you might want to follow the link that OpalRose supplied. The problem may be 2 different definitions of the word session. If you sleep through the night without turning the machine off to get up for a bathroom or other break then the difference in the definition should not make any difference.

If I get up at all during the night, it is for 5 or 10 minutes, Sleepyhead will show two sessions, my machine and Sleepyhead report the same AHI. I've never used DreamMapper. My Desktop computer died this week, or I would download it just to compare.

Are we having a funeral for your desktop or did you just shoot it to put it out of its misery?

I called the company, and they told me that the machine shows the last session, while the software shows the full day - (noon to noon). Sometimes I get up during the night, and it records another session. The machine only shows the last one and does not aggregate like the software.

My system one shows the same AHI in the morning as Encore Basic and Sleepyhead. It doesn't matter whether I sleep all night or get up and end up with two sessions. I've used this machine and both software packages for over a year, and it is always the same on all three. All three reports the same hours usage, and the same sessions, and same AHI. NOTE: ResMed and System One are two different machines.

I think it might be the app that shows the last session. The System One shows the full day. I remember because I used to use one. Within rounding error, the machine, their software, and SH all showed the same, and it was the full day. By the way, Philips Respironics makes the System One, not ResMed. We usually abbreviate it as PRS1. Please fill out the machine name in your profile.
