RE: AHI help
Yep. Probably need to increase the pressures a bit. Not too much, just some then see what happens for a few days.

Thanks to all of you for your help. I really do appreciate this board very much!

one more question (for now, lol):

Is this part of the above data showing an average number per hour?
Hypopnea 0.48
Obstructive Apnea 12.44
Unclassified Apnea 0.12
Clear Airway Apnea 1.93

RE: AHI help
Wow. I just called the DME person who gave me the machine --
She has access to my numbers via the wireless apparatus that is attached to my machine. She says she shows an AHI of 9 through 7/20/2014. I see an AHI of 9 for the night of 7/20; but she apparently doesn't have 7/21 and 7/22 numbers yet, which are 15 and 14.

But what is nice about all of this is . . . she will call my sleep dr. and get an approval to increase the pressure, which she will do wirelessly. Wow.

Yes, these are average numbers of events per hour.

RE: AHI help
During my first week of cpap my numbers were high in both AHI and leaks; one night alone the AHI was over 20... gradually, as I got used to the mask and machine, and figured out the leaks, my AHI went below the magic number of 5. Two months in, I increased the pressure by 1cm, and since April AHI has almost always been less than 3. You do want to use the software to help you determine where your problems are as you get used to this, because then you know what needs fixing.
