AHI index has taken a nose dive the past month

AHI index has taken a nose dive the past month
Hello, fellow CPAPer's!

Over the past month my AHI has gone from 2-3 to 9. I'm not doing anything different. Up until last night it's mainly been central apneas. Last night it was a mix of obstructive and central.

I'm starting to feel run down. Please help!

Also, my leak rate has gone through the roof!

Paul

When CA increases like this, the safest bet is to reduce EPR. For the OA you may need to increase minimum pressure by 1, but the CA is usually resolved pretty easily with less EPR.

I'll give that a shot. It's set at 2 now, so I'll dial it down to 1 and see how it goes. I'll also increase by one my lower number.

thanks for the info!!

I'm feeling like CRAP today!!

AHI was down to 5 last night; which is the best in a few weeks. I'll check Sleepyhead in the next couple of hours.

Give it some time to work out, then we can do some finer tuning. Looks like things moved the right direction.

Thank you! I noticed that my average pressure was close to 10. What are you thoughts on moving my minimum up to 10? I changed it to 8 last night. 9 maybe?

If the residual events are obstructive and a concern, then a higher pressure is appropriate. You may want to take it 1=cm at a time. I have to assume you were comfortable with the pressures?

Very comfortable with the pressure. I had zero problems with it. I'll go to 8 tonight and report back tomorrow.
