Recliner/ hospital bed??! How many need these???
I am finding that I cannot return to sleeping in my flat bed.

Last night I tried to return to sleeping in my own bed. Not good: AMI of 53.10

The previous two nights were done in my recliner which I got into the habit of sleeping in after my heart surgery. These got reports of AHI 17.41 and 22.77.

So as in the headline How many of us need these??

Ouch.
If you are showing AHI of 17-22 I think something else is wrong.

Yes, I have Complex Apneas, and am just a week old on a ASV machine.

I am told it can take a couple of months to settle in.

It will take a while, especially with CSA.

Have you investigated good sleep hygiene? Those same methods will help you get back to bed. Your body has gotten used to that position. It's time to re-teach it.

They sell wedge pillows in medical supply stores. You can get one for your upper body and one for your legs and sleep that way. Cheaper than an adjustable bed, too.

Many stores sell all kinds of wedge shaped pillows and I will try one tonight.

racprops, I hope you can get back in your bed as soon as possible, I can only imagine how uncomfortable a recliner must be and I'm sure it's not good for your back.

OK Got a bed wedge and run into another problem, unlike my recliner that cradles my back, the wedge started to cause pain in my lower back and rear end.

It got so bad I went back to my recliner.

Sadly I had a poor sleep night and only stayed on the machine for part of it. I was on the machine for only 2.30 hours but during it I got a good reading AHI 9.76.

Somewhere around 3:00 I woke up and removed my mask and fell back asleep and sleep until 8:00.
