New "Software Support Forum" now live
~ New Software Support Forum Now Live ~

Howdy folks, our forum Advisory Members suggested a while back that we should create a new forum for CPAP and sleep apnea-related computer software questions and answers.  The consensus was that having most of the PC-software questions contained in one forum will help members find answers to their questions easier and also help organize things better for searches, etc.

In the past, our methods included having one big thread for SleepyHead software questions, and one big thread for ResScan software questions, but (for instance) when the SleepyHead thread got over 50-somthing pages of posts, all the previous questions & answers got buried within that thread.

So, we're hoping that this new Software Support Forum will help.  It will be for discussion of any and all personal computer software questions that relate to CPAP or sleep apnea in general.

If someone posts a software question as a new thread on one of the public forums, it will be moved into the new Software Support Forum (SSF for short) as soon as possible, with a 7-day re-direct left behind in the old forum, pointing to the new location of the thread in the SSF.

When someone posts a software question within a pre-existing thread here, if the question can be answered quickly with one or two posts, it will likely remain within that thread, but if it becomes more of a back-and-forth Q&A session on software issues, those posts will be split out of the thread and moved into their own new thread on the Software Support Forum.

With all that said, please feel free to comment, reply or suggest anything you wish with regard to the new forum.

The Software Support Forum is now "live", right underneath the Main Forum.

Yesterday was a rough day. A bunch of stuff went wrong. But nothing that a couple pots of coffee and few hours of intense computer time couldn't fix.

Time and coffee heals just about everything.

lots-o-coffee lots-o-coffee

The only thing I have left to complete is RobySue's Beginner's Guide to SleepyHead, which was somehow corrupted within our database and I wasn't able to extract all those posts (and the backups were corrupted also). I'm currently working on copying/pasting/formating/updloading images, text & stuff to put it on the Apnea Board Wiki (HERE). It will probably be completed this week.
