[Admin Note] SleepyHead Dreamstation AutoSV Patch [DATA NEEDED see post #2]

RE: SleepyHead Dreamstation AutoSV Patch [DATA NEEDED see post #2]
Recently, I purchased a Resmed S9 VPAP as a backup machine for my Dreamstation BiPAP AutoSV. I just loaded in the data from the Resmed into SleepyHead and there is no comparison to the output from Encore Pro 2 software from Respironic for the Dreamstation. The graphs are sooo much better with SleepyHead. The data layout is a lot easier to read too - much more concise. In addition, I'm seeing that I can wear an wrist oximetry device and sync blood oxygen data with my PAP data. Very cool.

Totally excited about Mark working on making SleepyHead compatible with my new Dreamstation BiPAP AutoSV.

I have been in touch with Mark almost daily. Saying progress is slow is an over-statement, but we recently showed him an new extension for the Weinmann Somnobalance written by a forum Member TBMx who is on our Apneaboard Sleepyhead Development Forum, and I'm sensing more motivation and urgency. Stay tuned.

I sent my SD card data at an earlier date but was not able to download Encore 2.2 at that time but I can now. Tell me how to download and send the Encore data if you want me to send it. Any idea when the patch might be done?

Sorry, no AutoSV data (yet),
just wanted to express my gratitude on your suppport and especially Mark for Sleepyhead.
I initially started with an AHI of around 6 and by a lot of Sleepyhead analysis and Pulsoximetry comparison improved the AHI to around 1. Without Sleepyhead this would never have been possible. I also feel a significantly better than before. Doctors would not help at all as long as you are walking in yourself.
I was recently given a Dreamstation as a replacement for my Somnia 3, again I could improve and monitor the original settings with Sleepyhead V1.0!
So thanks a lot for your contribution to empower patients! Your work means a lot! Especially when the officially provided support is poor but you are also not meant to tweak your machine yourself (for your own good, of courseSmile.

Actually my sleep lab was non conclusive so it was difficult for my MD to make a diagnosis. I already had a ASV from a previous unethical lab (long story) but because I am healthy, thin, and no drugs my new MD thought my CAs were caused by over titration so he put me on a BIPAP but before I could get the BIPaP I had to wait a few days so the DR said I could play with the ASV. I got my AHI down to 6 or better with my settings. The BIPAP almost killed me but because I could use Sleepyhead with the BIPAP I proved to him I had complex apnea. So back to the ASV and since my settings were the only ones that worked he wrote on the Rx that I could adjust the machine for the best results. I'm a DDS but I don't think that had anything to do with it. I may have just P*ssed him off. But I feel great and I'm sneaking up on better AHIs using Encore and a recording Oximeter but Sleepyhead is much better. My AHIs tend to increase through the night and without a decent flow chart I'm having a hard time figuring that out. Anyway, please let me know when the update for Sleepyhead is ready.

Color me confused. I was just switched over to a dreamstation bipap by my dr., and it at least appeared that SleepyHead recognized the system and imported the data properly. With only a single night's usage, it's hard to tell if the data is accurate yet, but I also need to install Encore or something for comparison I guess.

That said, if there is a need for more data samples, I'm happy to share mine on a regular basis.
I've used SH for a couple of years now, and it has made me much more intelligent about my sleep, the therapy I'm using, and my ability to talk with my doctor about it all.

Blessings,

Bill.

I just go a notice to read post 2? Do you need more data. I can send Encore Pro 2.2 with my data on it if it would help. You would have to tell me how to use dropbox again.

I don't know if it'll help Mark, but there's a downloadable software app that I have to use to upload my SD card info for my Dreamstation BiPap ASV so that their DreamMapper website can use it. DreamMapper isn't particularly informative, but it might be useful for Mark to be able to cross-compare what the DreamMapper uploader does with the SD card data against what he's trying to get Sleepyhead to do. Assuming, of course, that side-by-side comparisons don't step on any copyright toes.

I have no idea if that will matter to Mark. I'm going to confess that I have not contacted Mark in a couple weeks, and it's like pulling teeth to get him to engage in this project. My personal opinion is that if he does not minimally become involved in Sleepyhead soon, it is essentially an abandoned project and available to whoever wants to pick up the pieces.

Do we consider this at an end, then, or do we try one more time?
