encore Basic for PR machines
I just followed the links to get the Encore download, and noticed the systems supported do not include Windows 10. Will it work on 10?

I use Encore Basic on Windows 10 with no problems.

RE: encore Basic for PR machines
Thanks for the quick reply. I had a weird night last night--want to see if it looks the same on Encore before I contact my sleep doc. Will probably post results here if I can get my act together to tackle downloading stuff on the forum! Previous attempts at loading the software failed--I'm a dunce at that stuff!

RE: encore Basic for PR machines
Make sure you're downloading EncoreBasic, not EncorePro. EncorePro is rather bloated and hard to install at times.
For info on how to download EncoreBasic go here: http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...hines-only EncorePro can be used for a DreamStation machine when you absolutely must have "official" software for reporting to medical professionals. Otherwise, DreamStation users should use the #SleepyHead software. If you decide to take the plunge and try EncorePro anyway, here's the info on that: http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...hines-only

RE: encore Basic for PR machines
Thanks, SuperSleeper, for the additional information. I have another thread going about the definition of BND (Breathing Not Dtected) on PR machines. I mainly wanted to load Encore Basic (not Pro) to compare the night's results with SH results that showed 7 minutes of BND in a 15 minute period. My flow chart showed almost no breathing in an even longer period prompting 41 pressure pulses trying to break this cycle. When it did quit I had good respiration rates-and a 0.89 AHI. It was pretty scary. I got my answer this morning on the other post that it seems to be a fluke with the PR machines. If I truly didn't breath for 4 straight minutes I probably wouldn't be alive to write this message! I'm not going to load Encore at this time.
