Aircurve 10 ASV Pressure bar

Aircurve 10 ASV Pressure bar
I was 5 years with a Resperonics System One.
I now have a new Aircureve 10 ASV.

IN the Manual it says, "You will know that therapy is on when the SLEEP REPORT is displayed. The 'Pressure bar shows the inspiratory and expiratory pressures in green. The GREEN bar will expand and contract as you breathe in and out."

When I start 'therapy' the screen comes up, but the green bar does NOT move or 'expand and contract as I breath in and out."

I called the supplier teck guy and he told me it was because I had it on "Ramp" I told him I did not have it on Ramp. He then said to call Resmed.
I did and they did not know why it was not working and to take it back to the supplier.

So I thought I would ask here first.
I have attached a picture of the screen (with the bar that does not move.)
Thanks
M Jones

Unfortunately if ResMed answered, they'd point to back to the supplier.

The bar should move along the range assuming properly working machine. What settings are you setup with? You should download OSCAR to track your therapy and you'd be able to show us your therapy results as well.

We can do a lot more with the free OSCAR software. It will show your therapy results, settings and even breath-by-breath what was happening. Please download OSCAR (the name is the link) and post some charts using the tutorials for Organizing Your Oscar Charts and Attaching Files in my signature. We can troubleshoot this and get you moving forward. Your new Aircurve 10 ASV is far superior to your previous Philips Respironics.

My guess is that someone screwed up the settings. You can access the setting by pressing the control knob and home button then selecting Settings by pressing the control knob. Scroll through the settings and write them down and report here. If they are wrong, it will be obvious. Even your screen shot shows PS 0.0. Well, that would be wrong. Typical default settings are:
Mode: ASVauto
EPAP Min 5.0
EPAP max 15.0
PS min: 3.0
PS max: 15.0

I switched from the System One to the Aircurve 10 ASV about 3 months ago.  There's a noticeable difference, for the better.  Make sure your Resmed machine has a SD card in it -- when I got my machine, the DME said they don't come with one.  Then I opened the liittle flap and showed her that there was one in the slot.  I think the DME's are removing them to hoard them.  Also, download the Oscar system, it will help immensely.  And it's free.

I'd opt to reset the settings to the ones Sleeprider has made mention of.

"Mode: ASVauto
EPAP Min 5.0
EPAP max 15.0
PS min: 3.0
PS max: 15.0"
Then show us an OSCAR Daily tab usage.

Back to your original question, the bar graph does not move when you are spontaneously breathing and minimum pressure support is zero. The bar graph is at 8.0 and for that machine and settings that is normal. If you want to see movement, set PS min to 3.0.

THANK YOU! That makes me feel better about the machine not being "broken".
Isn't it interesting that the Resmed tech (Nor the DME guy) who I talked to on the phone did not know that simple explanation about their own machine!!
The ResMed guy suggested that I should take it back for replacement! Oh My

Ever since I changed to the ResMed F30i with the above the head hose and now with my new machine I really feel like I am doing better than I have in the past year or so.

I am looking forward to getting OSCAR up and running and let you guys help me with that!!

Thanks for all you help. Great place for support for sure!!
