Aircurve 10 ASV [choosing the right one]
Hi. hope I’m not asking a repeat question.
I’ve been looking for an aircurve 10 ASV. How old of a machine should I consider. How often is the software updated. Is a 2016 machine too old?
Thank you

RE: Aircurve 10 ASV
By 2016, you will have the Aircurve 10 ASV with Auto ASV and the most recent algorithm. There were two different versions of the S9, and one had Auto ASV with a zero minimum PS, and I think the other had ASV mode that was not auto and a minimum PS of 3.0. Someone is sure to correct this and post the model numbers, but I think you're safe with any 2016 version.

Well, depending on hours used, of course... I think expected useful life is about 20000 hours, so keep that in mind.

RE: Aircurve 10 ASV
Admitted, I'm not familiar with the S9, so I can't offer anything there. But I do think '16 year puts you at the 10 series ASV machine, which I have. Currently ResMed's latest and greatest. If an ASV is what you need, you'll want the ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV.

PS check Run Hours in clinical mode to find out how "used" it actually is.

RE: Aircurve 10 ASV
In the S9 model range there are two model numbers 36007 and 36037

The 36037 has the same algorithm and settings as the Aircurve 10 ASV the year of manufacture on my 36007 is 2012 the year of manufacture on my 36037 is 2012

Nice to know that; 2012 seems to be a split model year I guess.

Process of elimination says either 13 or 14 then. Depending on user hours, those years of machines may be near end of life, if used nightly IMO. Lightly used then not so.

PS: An article dated 8/14 announces ResMed 10 as new product being released.
