Aircurve Question

Aircurve Question
I've been using an Aircurve machine for around 18 months now and noticed it has a slight whine during the cool down.... Anyone else notice this? I'm a little concerned due to the standard 24 month warranty expiration lol. (Can't afford to buy another one...) Appreciate your thoughts and experiences!

RE: Aircurve Question
I never experienced a noise during cool down. I do however notice a slight whining sound when inhaling. Others have mentioned this too.

And I agree with you about the warranty. Two years is ridiculous, considering the cost of these machines. I believe ResMed can and should do better with this, especially when insurance companies expect you to use it for at least 5 years before replacement.

RE: Aircurve Question
I guess you better take it in for a check up. Wake up the DME crew and make arrangements to have it checked and replaced or whatever they will offer. I can just imagine the DME guys will whine some when you call about it.

RE: Aircurve Question
I only hear it when I remove the mask from the air line, and listen in the end of the tubing (lol) when I get up at night... Probably sounds a little weird that anyone would check for cool down airflow, but an older machine of mine stopped going into cool down mode after several years... (ie, the cool down quit working). Either way, if the noise worsens before the warranty is up I'll be calling my DME!

RE: Aircurve Question
Shamus, a noise during cool down can come from places other than the machine. Try removing the tube from the machine and listen at the humidifier outlet.
