Airfit P10 vent problem

Airfit P10 vent problem
I recently purchased a new Airfit P10 mask thinking the quieter vent would be a plus. I used this mask only about 3 hours before waking feeling horrible and short of breath. I tried a different size nasal pillow, thinking that was maybe the issue, but the same thing happened. The next day I went on line to find out issues with the mask, wondering about the vent, as NO air seemed to be coming out the vent during use. It took some digging, but was appalled by what I read about the rebreathing and CO2 levels. I also read that any moisture that may build up on the vent makes it worse. I did not have this issue, but really had felt so horrible after one use. I am moving away from this mask immediately and wanted to post my issue.

Also adding that the Aloha mask has been my previous “go to” mask, and will be going back to that model.

RE: Airfit P10 vent problem
I have owned many Airfit P10 masks and never encountered the problem. There MUST be flow from the exhaust vent and you should be able to easily detect it. If the mesh vent was wet for some reason this can be a problem. I recommend you do not use the P10 until you are sure the vent problem is resolved If this is a new mask, and you did not wash it before use, or add moisture, return it.
