HoseHead58, please keep in mind two things. It's common for the AHI to vary by that much for no apparent reason at all. Secondly, the AHI tends to drop as our bodies adapt to the CPAP therapy.
If you're happy at the 6-14 range keep ith there for awhile and see what happens.
Did the sleep lab titrate you at 10 cm of pressure? If so, it's unusual that you would require 14 cm for your therapy. But it is possible. For example you may not have slept on your back during your sleep study. Now at home you occasionally roll over on your back when you're asleep and a higher pressure is required to prevent airway collapse. This is the kind of thing that makes APAP's cool.
