Anaesthesia and Sleep Apnea
#11
RE: Anaesthesia and Sleep Apnea
I had a laparoscopic mesh repair of ventral hernia on 2 Nov. (belly button )
I saw an anesthetist at a pre op check a week before the op. I was told by him to bring my cpap machine with me to the hospital and that I would be staying in a night in high dependence.
I had a General ETT anaesthetic and the op went well. I woke up in HDU and when the O2 came off and I felt sleepy the cpap went on. I had a good enough night and was discharged the next day.
The nurse looking after made comment that they find a lot of people with suspected sleep apnea there.
