The CPAP has an internal memory that holds the summary information for 365 days, the detailed flow information is written directly to the memory card. It is not possible to get the SD card read back into the CPAP that is not the way it works sorry. Grab what you can using sleepyhead after the file restore the data on the machine is stuck as it is with the previous nights data gone as it was erased by the DME

About the mechanics of that, I don't know, but about the reason for it I can guess, based on what several folks here have contributed regarding the files on the SD card and the hassles with changing the machine's date & time: The firmware programmers wanted to prevent users from modifying data in the past.

You can reset the machine's data. All but the total hours it has been used.

And since several employers and a lot of insurance companies want to ensure their workers/clients are using the machine, locking up the ability to manipulate the data is key there.

Sleepyhead can interpret the data but it cannot change it. You cannot manipulate the files to show compliance then put it back in and it load onto the machine. It is one way except for the settings.

Actually I asked my Repository Therapist and he said he doesn't have all the files, all he could give me is a summary page of my basic nightly stats....

Originally, I thought that once MyAir deleted my account (after the SD Format) that the old data would be gone from MyAir but when I re-registered my CPAP they still had my old data. Strangely enough, even though the SD Card has the NEW data for the previous 5 days, MyAir says there is no data there on those days even though THAT data IS seen by my CPAP. I would have thought that MyAir would have downloaded any data missing due to lack of telemitry communication but it seems that if your machine can't send the data on day X for night WX, then it will never send it. Odd system since they work so hard to keep track of the information. I live in a basement apartment and often only have 2 cellphone bars. What would they do if I had no signal due to being in the basement?

Oh, also, just for your information, I did ask my Respiratory Therapist about the US sending "compliance" data to insurance companies and they do NOT do that up here. Total breech of privacy. The only ones who can report you out of concern for your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery is your family doctor or the sleep specialist doctor, and that would be to a branch of the government that deals with that issue, not some private company.

Thanks for all the replies. It would have been nice to have all the data on MyAir, on my CPAP, and on Sleepyhead but I guess I'll have to settle for Sleepyhead to check all my data.
