If I have it right, EERS will extend the vent 6, 12, 18 inches away from the mask vents as it is now. There are still vents, but with the extended hose in-between.

That is how it works.

Block ALL mask vents

connect new vent to mask via cora-flex tube 6 inches away (We NEED a vent) the 6 inches is the volume of exhaled air that is inhaled.  If mask has a short hose attached that volume needs to be incorporated.

connect anti-affixation valve (optional for basal masks) between CPAP hose and new vent

I don't know how to DIY. Any DME or Doctor in California you can recommend?

No doctor or DME will do it for you. You buy the parts listed to make an EERS and put it together yourself.

I think the bleep mask is impossible to alter.

The Bleep mask is easy to alter. The vents are located in the frame, on both sides where the tube attaches. With EERS those small hose are blocked with silicone putty (Mack's silicone putty earplugs) and is reversible, and a new vent like the Philips Whisper Swivel II exhalation Vent is placed inline closer to the flow generator. The swivel vent may be place between the Bleep Mask tube and the main CPAP tube, or additional 6-inch sections of Corr-a-Flex may be need to provide sufficient space. The farther the exhalation valve is from the mask, the more exhale space is reserved for rebreathing. This is a simple project and all the pieces fit together as they are standard 22 mm diameter tubing and fittings.

The wiki includes a link to Slowriter's EERS fabrication using a Bleep mask http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...#pid316312

You could turn down EPR if modifying the mask is too hard for you. EPR is probably driving the CA up, but the overall RDI is still only 2.75, with about 2.6 CA. It still seems to me that without a symptom being mentioned your chasing the CA is a lot like chasing rabbits into a hole.

What symptoms are you trying to fix? CA and other numbers are not symptoms when by themself. How do these CA affect you? Fatigue, headache, and similar would be a symptom.
