Anybody else had this issue?

Anybody else had this issue?
Hullo all, I would just like to know if I'm alone with this issue. Unsure

My wife has prompted me to "get something done about my snoring." I have been to two sleep study's, the first study done with approx 4 other people was a terrible experience. I never received any feedback from this study and another recent study done in a private hospital had simular results.
I found the whole experience very claustrophobic (the whole package of entangled in wires, harnesses, tubes, finger stalls etc) made me extremely uncomfortable. Now I normally had no problem sleeping or going to sleep very quickly but this study too resulted in no feedback and numerous calls later the only response I got was "You need to do another sleep study!!!!"
So how many sleep studies are usually required? The study was done with a major sleep study company and I feel that I'm been strung along like a sucker.
I did get a referal to a private a specialist at the Greenslopes private Hospital this will be an expensive visit ($300) . Thinking about cancelling this. Thinking-about

I have in the mean time I borrowed a F&P Icon + and nasal mask (from a family member) that is not used. This machine is about 6 months old and the past two days with the help of tutorial videos have "set up" this machine and tried to use it the past 3 nights with nightly adjustments to pressure and moisture.

My question been is this normal for users to:
a) go to several study's?
b)having claustrophobic issues?
c) should I change masks? I found that even with adjusting moisture settings my mouth with like a dry sock in the Simpson desert in a heat wave.
d) Should I perservere with this torture even though I have had only about 6 hrs sleep in the past few nights?

Normally I wake very refreshed but feeling so tired and despondent and disillusioned with the whole experience.

Thanks in advance for any advise Thanks

I was lucky to be able to take the equipment home for the sleep study, so no claustrophobia issues in my own bed. Didn't get a super good sleep with the wires and all, but decent enough for results apparently. You could ask if that's a possibility?I'm sure a study done at a lab is more conclusive though.

Wow, I had only one study - it never occurred to me there would be more than one at the beginning. If they did the 'whole package' study with all the leads and are telling you you need more I would wonder why. My doctor got a lot of info from mine.

I'm new to this game, only three nights with it, but my AirSense 10 has a built in humidifier. Perhaps you don't have a humidifier?

Hope this works out for you!

Welcome Brazilnut!

a) go to several study's? I can't imagine that being necessary until you've failed on a prescribed machine that resulted from the first study.
b)having claustrophobic issues? Are you referring to the sleep study itself with your surroundings or the mask?
c) should I change masks? I found that even with adjusting moisture settings my mouth with like a dry sock in the Simpson desert in a heat wave. Generally nasal masks suffice, but if you're waking up with a dry mouth you are probably opening your mouth while you sleep. If you have already tried turning up the humidifier, You can try a chin strap to prevent your mouth from opening or a new mask that covers the mouth as well.
d) Should I perservere with this torture even though I have had only about 6 hrs sleep in the past few nights? If you can upload some sleepyhead charts with your previous nights of data that may assist with the next recommended steps.
