Anyone know the difference? [between AirCurve10 BiPAP ST and the ST-A]

Question
Anyone know the difference? [between AirCurve10 BiPAP ST and the ST-A]
I have not been able to locate the difference between the ResMed AirCurve10 BiPAP ST and the ST-A.  The 'A' version must have some ability the other does not have.  Anyone know what that might be?

ST has no alarms. The ST-A does.

If that is the ONLY difference then the extra $$ couple-hundred is buying some rather expensive buzzers!

["A"- alarm? ..makes sense]

A equals Alarmed at price.

Dunno.. Titration showed the ST gave the lowest AHI possible among units tested (tech refused to try ASV) but Wizard prescribed VPAP.
After I hand delivered a packet of data and a letter he decided he needed to see me (in three weeks).  Gotta love it Oh-jeez

This is why you need to get advise from a forum rather than a Wizard.  Dont-know

"10-4 Good Buddy"  I'm afraid it is financially necessary to remain tied at the hip to the Wizard for about another month.

ST-A
https://web.archive.org/web/201310080825...-guide.pdf
iVAPS is designed to maintain a preset target alveolar minute ventilation by monitoring delivered
ventilation, adjusting the pressure support and providing an intelligent backup breath automatically.

how did a st turn into a Vauto and not the vpap st?
do you have any lung, respiratory, obesity issues, that would require the ST or st-a instead of an ASV?

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure.

ajack,
He tested out at less than 45% LVEF so he didn't qualify for ASV.
