If you got the product from eBay, contact the eBay seller and tell them that what they sold you is useless without the software. Tell them you'd like to give them a positive feedback rating for the transaction, but you'd first like to have the software that makes the product work.

That would be the first thing I would do.

Yes, I try. But I do not want to return device. I think, there is no complicate hidden medical secret with this. I hope I get the software.
Thank you, I will poste the result.

did you check the manufacturer web site for software download?

I am not familiar with this product but a quick search for "resmed apnealink software download" yielded numerous links to resmed support pages.

One of the pages had software download link on it: http://www.resmed.com/us/en/healthcare-p...k-air.html

Unfortunately when you hit the download link you get the following message: This content is restricted for the use of healthcare professionals and our commercial partners. In other words, if you're not a doctor or DME we won't sell to you.

I think you can only get this software through "back door" channels.

As near as I've been able to tell, software is unavailable for the ResMed ApneaLink Air system unless you buy the entire kit, and it doesn't look like they'll sell that to you unless you're a professional of some unknown rank. I can hook up the device via USB to my PC without any problem, other than the fact that the data I find (and download) is in an unknown and thus useless format.

I was hoping that SleepyHead might be able to at least look at this data, but there's no documentation defining what the data should look like other than "insert SD card". I pointed SleepyHead to the folder containing the downloaded ApneaLInk Air data, but SleepyHead didn't think much of that, sol I'm back to Square Zero.

Any tips?

Hi PhoebeAnn - Welcome

Resmed sometimes uses ".edf" files. What type of file extension do these files have?

If you like, please send me an email (not a post or a private message here), but a regular email to apneaboard@gmail.com and then I can give you a download link to the ApneaLink software.  There is NO support for the software that I know of, so if you download and install it, you are completely on your own and all risk is assumed by you, since I know nothing of this software package at all.

Yeah, ".pat", ".edf", and ".crc". I'm going to look at their software this afternoon; I'll let you know what I find.

The ".crc" usually stands for Cyclical Redundancy Check, a checksum file.  The ".edf" file usually holds the data. EDF stands for European Data Format and is a standard file format designed for exchange and storage of medical time series.  You can download free edf browsers, as well as, an edf to ansi converter. The .pat file could be a pattern extension file used for graphics.  That is only a guess.
