RE: SleepyHead Software - Beginner's Guide, Questions, Answers & Discussion
I dowloaded Sleepyhead and found out that it does not work with my machine. I'd like to see how the software works before I try to get my machine added. Is there any sample data available that I could download and run the software against to see what it does ? I see some great screen shots so it looks really useful, but I'd like to try it out for myself.

Thanks

Bummer! You can download the source code. Here is the download information link:

Thanks, but I already downloaded the source. What I'm asking is for sample data I can run the software against so I can see what it does. Since it doesn't read my machine's data I can't use it so I'm hoping there's some sample data out there so I can try out the program.

Can someone explain this chart? Seeing "900" on a line that says AHI is sorta scary, Oh-jeez so since I'm still alive, I guess I don't know what it means!

Huh

Do you mean: What do the numbers indicate? Chapter 4
or
Do you mean: Medically, what's happening to me?

I mean, what do the numbers indicate. I assume your reply means I can find the answers in Chapter 4.

Will check it out now.
Thanks.

Back. I've looked through the documentation on this thread and in the Sleepyhead Wiki.
And looked again at my data, which is not the same numbers now as when I clipped that chart/graph this morning.

The chart/graph seems to be something that has to do with flags. And it's some sort of composite of the various graphs above it.
Perhaps it isn't especially relevant, and I'll be happy to ignore it if that's the case.

I'm sorry there should have been a question mark after the number four. Bag-head

I am a total nube when it comes to this software so hopefully someone will tell me if I get this wrong.
Looking at your chart, immediately under the 7psi in the header, you have the number of minutes (about 6 seconds) that you were at a 7psi in the time frame you have zoomed to, at that pressure - in the total time of the selected range, you had a large number of Obstructive Apnea events (which I'm really wondering if one could have that many in such a small window Huh ) during the time frame you selected. Clear as mud?
You might want to go back to the flow-rate graph and post the area you were viewing at the time... not sure if this would be the proper thread for that...

I know I read something somewhere about this graph, thought it was in chapter 4, and I just cannot find the link in my history; however, FF crashed and when it does that sometimes the open windows don't show up in the history.
RE: SleepyHead Software - Beginner's Guide, Questions, Answers & Discussion
Well I downloaded the Macintosh "Beta".

Can't even get any data into the program. It sees the data card (F&P Icon) but then says "Couldn't find any valid machine data".

It's there. I can see it all, day by day.

Program is exceedingly buggy as well - clicking on or using the menu cause the program to quit.

You can't afford a real Mac developer to do this?

I'm sorry to hear about your issues... I'm a big Mac fan myself - stuck in a PC world .
++ Beta versions will have bugs, this is why they are labeled as Beta. Hopefully someone here can provide you a link to the last stable release.
++ If you donate some money towards the cost of development, perhaps the author could persuade a (or two, or three) Mac-Head to help with the development. The author is providing this as a free open source program asking only for a freewill donation and a thank you. From what I've seen online, you might be paying several $100(US)s for the OEM program and most likely have to run it on a PC.

SleepyHead is Free, Open Source Software, so no, there's nobody associated with the project who can afford to "hire a real Mac developer", however that's not the actual problem. The real "problem" is that AFAIK, the released version does not support the F&P Icon, which would explain why you're not seeing any data.

According to the documentation, there is some preliminary work in github but I do not believe it is in any of the released versions.

If you would like to learn how to write software in C++, or hire someone who already does, and add the desired functionality to Sleepyhead, you're welcome to submit updates.
