Back in French Polynesia, Time zone problem

RE: Back in French Polynesia, Time zone problem
Get up, turn the machine off like you normally do. Don't use for 12 hours. You will then be able to set the time back up to 12 hours at that point.

Lather, rinse, repeat until done.

Copying the entire SD card to your PC every so often is a good idea, too.

Nothing is special about 12 hours, just an example.
Get the free OSCAR CPAP software here.

If it's midnight and a DME tells you it's dark outside, go and check it yourself.

Last time I was there they were using miles and litres but quoting efficiency in miles per gallon. Grin

GMT as a time standard died way back at the end of 1960. Catch up with the times old man.

It is now just a time zone.

GMT stands for "Greenwich Mean Time". Why should the world standard revolve around a small town in England? Because when it was invented Britain was the main world power and the holder of a vast empire? Well that empire is now just a faded memory.

UTC stands for "Universal Time Coordinated" which pretty much accurately reflects what it is, except perhaps for the confusion of our beautiful blue planet with the entire Universe. However in math the word "universe" has a special meaning, and does not imply the whole cosmos.

An insistence that it be called "GMT" seems like misplaced nostalgia to me.

The next thing you know, you people are going to be telling me I can't call the airport "Idlewild" any more.

It weren't broke, so don't fix it.

Not so. Seems there are a lot of countries that use GMT rather than the neo-PC utsey as the time standard of refernece.

And I just can't see Rolex making an utsey Master.

I hope nobody starts slinging the zulu word around.
