Bad Night

Bad Night
[attachment=2964]Hi
Had the worst night since I have been using Resmed 10(6months) with pillows
Last night AHI was 6.97 compared to 1.36,1.71,2.60,2.56,0.87 3.81

I do get better results with the full mask but the red marks on my face lasts for days regardless of how I adjust
I attach last nights results which show a jump in pressure after 3 am which woke me up
any advise please

RE: Bad Night
Your jump in pressure was due to a clusters of Obstructions. You can see that on the graph right before you woke up.
It's possible you rolled on your back which could cause this, but more likely I believe your minimum pressure may need a slight adjustment to combat the obstructives.

I would move the minimum pressure of 7.6 up to 9cm, and raise the starting ramp to 7.
Leaving it at 4 is simply too far away from your 95% pressure reading.

A mask is the hardest part of cpap therapy. It's a personal preference, and fit and comfort should be your guide. Be sure you changed the setting on your machine from full face to nasal mask or pillows, not sure what you are using?

Hope this helps. Let us know.

RE: Bad Night
I would advise against using one bad night as cancelling out all the good ones. Figure out what was different, and get back to "normal", which is okay. The events were clearly obstructive, and we might point to minimum pressure, a high EPR and mask issues as possible causes, but really it's just one night. Keep that in perspective.
