Best U.S. suppliers for masks?
Any recommendations of suppliers in the U.S. for buying masks, cushions, etc? Bonus points for being on the west coast. I've bought from ebay before, was recently recommended Fisher & Paykel masks and don't see much there.

I linked to it in the OP; it's a long list. I'm wondering if anyone here has any suggestions of suppliers they like for masks (good selection, prices, shipping costs, etc).

My own case--I had to find a Canadian DME that gave the level of service I needed. One of the keys for me is being able to take masks home on trial for a week, and return them at no cost. If I *forget* I get to pay for the mask. They take a credit card reading. I asked everyone at work that showed mask marks where they got their masks, machines, and stuff from.

Every one's face and needs are different.

I find the product reviews really helpful.

I'd recommend to find a couple DME's local to you. They can properly fit you a mask, nasal or full face etc. Return window is the same. Just a thought. Smile

Thanks for the links Dave. I know we're not supposed to use commercial links, but in the past I've gotten recs for places to buy CPAP machines using the supplier number in the list.

I thought DME meant "durable medical equipment," but not I'm confused--what does that acronym mean?

My insurance will only supply with me with the cheapest masks that don't work for me; I'm trying to find the best deals on higher quality masks, preferably without having to pay for a doctor visit.

Take a look at amazon. They are cheaper if you buy parts instead of the complete mask.

You're right -- DME supplier is what I should have said.
I had the same problem with my supplier. So I fired them.  They would sell a package--machine/humidifier/mask. I couldn't change the model or make of nasal mask.
that supplier was 1/2 owned by the hospital my sleep-doc-from-h_ll worked at. Conflict of Interest?

As a Canadian travelling in the US I had a scare.  I had my machine plugged into my surge suppressor/extension cord in a motel. Power went out. When the power came back on the tv plugged into the same receptacle didn't work. Thank heaven I had a surge suppressor.
So I asked a number of questions....for instance, if I was traveling out of country and my machine died, could I get another? NO. Not from US suppliers who would not recognize a Canadian prescription from a Canadian doctor.  If I needed a new mask, could I get another? NO. Same prescription constraint.

Often travel in a small car. I don't have room for a second machine and a second mask.  And I have a fixed income. I'm not buying an itsy-bitty cpap or apap machine just to travel.

All this really bugs me. Way back in the '70's I did construction admin in a new hospital under construction.  I supervised those who were confirming the medical gases piped in the hospital. It's a pet peeve.

I have used Supplier #26 for masks - they have a great mask return policy:  you can return a mask for exchange for any reason within 30 days, any number of times.  Thus, you should end up with a usable mask if you buy there.  I have had very good purchasing experiences with them.
