Can Medicare Help Pay without a DME?
I've been using a CPAP for 17 years. The first was via Keene Medical and was covered by insurance. Now that I am on Medicare, I wonder how to get machines and supplies covered without a DME. I asked
[text link removed] Supplier #1 and they said they don't do Medicare. My strategy has been to wait for sales in order to save on purchases. Any experience or suggestions?

One of the drawbacks of Medicare is you have to use those DME's that Medicare approves. You can find out out which one on their website.

I don't think there are any online places that Medicare approves for CPAP use. Too easy to fraud.

There is a brick and mortar store with an online presence, but they are not allowed to service Medicare clients who are not local to them because they can't meet the requirement of client training (yes, I know, pathetically little, but still, it's a rule). Also, unlike some insurance coverage, you can't buy and then get reimbursed.
It looks like MOST states are now subject to the selective bid process. My recommendation is to go to
https://www.medicare.gov/supplierdirectory/search.html and find a DME in your area.
