RE: CFlex + and EPR - what is the difference
Here is some information on A Flex vs C Flex that I found in an older Philips Remstar manual.

Thanks for the replies, what about CFlex + though. Sales person suggested cflex + means it has some relief on both inhale and exhale- is that true?
Cheers
Steve.

It may also provide some additional pressure relief near the end of the inhalation.

CFlex+ is the term used by PR in their Cpap machine.
Aflex is used in their apap machine.
Cflex+ is exactly the same as Aflex.

Cflex without the plus is a different way to provide exhale relief. It's waveform is much different than Aflex/Cflex+.

RE: CFlex + and EPR - what is the difference
Hi all,
I just found this on a website regarding the dreamstation on one of its features :
"C-Flex + – This is the patented pressure relief feature that synchronizes with the patients breathing pattern. In addition to backing off the pressure on the exhale to make it easier to breathe out, it also helps the patient breathe in. After a couple of breaths, the machine is in perfect sync and this makes it probably one of the most natural machines to breathe on".
Cheers
Steve

It sounds like relief on both inhale and exhale, but I am not sure.
Cheers

See the pdf I posted above. Compare the A Flex and C Flex. See the difference in the small red areas on the left side? That is the inhalation difference. It is minor.
