[CPAP] Does the infarction affect the breathing in the device?
RE: Does the infarction affect the breathing in the device?
I haven't used a n30, so I'm going by a picture...someone else will say if I'm wrong.
The connection on top of your head should fit the hose properly and not leak. There may be a small leak at the 'quick connect' swivel part of the fitting. Make sure both parts of the clip is running in the groove. sometimes they don't connect properly and are at an angle. I've done it on my f20.
As well as a leak down by your nose through the holes. The properly fitted clip and the nose are called intended leak and register on oscar as zero/naught. The leak chart will be empty.

Your leak appear much more than this. The air is either escaping past your nose or out your mouth. put the 'run mask fit' on and adjust the mask laying down. roll around the bed, wriggle the mask, do everything to see if it leaks around where your nose sits. Try and make it leak, so you know what you are looking for. push the mask against your nose with your fingers, to make sure you know what it sounds and feels like when it is sealed.

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure.

It seems to me that the only leak is the one on my head. Nothing happens at the nose. But maybe this is not a leak, only the spent air is expelled. Anyway, there are small holes that facilitate the escape of air, so in the end I do not know if it is a defect. I will ask in ResMed.

yes, these are intended leak from the holes. To stop you rebreathing air. I've now downloaded the manual and the elbow holes weren't shown on the picture I was looking at.
There are two sets of holes, one set on the elbow and set on the nose piece. Air should come out.

These are intended leaks and the program allows for these. The leak chart will be empty when the mask is in use and there are no unintended leaks from anywhere else. The leak report will be, median 0.0 L/min, 95% 0.0 L/min

Your chart shows that there are large unintended leaks in the range of, median 31 L/min 95% 40 L/min range. If it's fitting on your nose and you have done the fit mask pressure. The only thing left is that you are mouth breathing.

If you are mouth breathing, there is lots written on the forum about it, including taping up your mouth. I mouth breathe and use a mask that covers my mouth.

I do not think I'm breathing my mouth, because if I wake up, I do not have a dry throat. Besides, I would not want to have a full face mask, because it's terrible! I set my wife alarm every hour to check ...
I will sleep in a bicycle helmet with a GoPro camera viewing my mouth.

I still have the second mask in stock ...

You may need to have resmed fit the mask for you, if you aren't mouth breathing. It has to be in the fitting of the mask.

The second night. I'm sleeping great in this mask.
Only this leak ... I do not know how to liquidate it.

Results similar to previous ones.

I'm at a loss, you have read the mask fit, watched youtube videos on mask fit. Done the mask fit function with high pressure air. See resmed, arrange an appointment so they can help fit it. Even try a FFM or tape your mouth one night. Just to confirm you aren't mouth breathing. You really need the leak fixed.

You see your doctor in about 3 weeks now. Both machines show you may have some events, that could be treated with another machine. This data will show your doctor that another sleep study could be in order. You would have had an echogram and have the left ventricular ejection fraction number. That is needed for one of the possible machines.

Resmed gave me another (smaller) "mouthpiece" to this mask, i.e. the silicone part inserted under the nose. We'll see this night.

And yesterday I had the echo test of the heart. Everything is OK (as per the post-infarction state).

If your mouth falls open when you're asleep it is possible that air is leaking out of your mouth. You wouldn't necessarily get a dry throat from this.

I thought that, too. But I got one anyway and it turns out that it's not that bad.

After a few nights with a full face mask I started to feel better during the daytime because I was getting better sleep at night.

Are you wearing a chin restraint (also called a chin strap)? If not, try that before the full face mask, if you want. It may do the trick!
