[Equipment] Reference Info on Dreamstation

Reference Info on Dreamstation
I've been using a Dreamstation for almost 2 months and transfer its data to Sleepyhead. The Dreamstation detects and codes a variety of events, but this scoring is, of necessity,  different than a formal sleep  study. Formal scoring appears to use inputs such as respiratory effort, oxygen desaturation, and PCO2, which are not sensed by the Dreamstation. Is there a good technical reference document that summarizes what physical parameters the Dreamstation is actually sensing when it generates its event codes? Thanks!

Dunno about the Dreamstation specifically, but the Airsense 10 uses the inlet flow sensor and the outlet pressure sensor for all of its calculations. Even if you add the optional $900 pulse oximeter the events and adjustment calculations are all still from the flow and pressure sensor. All the fancy graphs are derivations from the same sensor data.

This 2015 paper goes into the math used in detecting events and adjusting the APAP pressure.

Thanks. This article looks like it will be very helpful, and it discusses both Resmed and Respironics products.
