[CPAP] Humidifier empty within 3 hours?
#1
Humidifier empty within 3 hours?
I'm currently using a full face mask with a minimum 9.0 pressure, however even at the lowest humidification setting (1) all the water is completely gone after 3-4 hours.  Is the humidifier optional or is there anything I can do to not use so much water?

Leaking? Chamber can leak if cracked or if you have regular air leaks (bad seal, hole in hose etc) it can use up water quickly.

It would be helpful to see your standard daily detail on OSCAR to see the leak rate. Leaks or a dry room air are the two biggest things I can think of to make the humidifier tub go dry the quickest.

Humidifier use is a comfort issue. Some people choose not to use it.

Even if your flow is greater than 15 cm of H20, say averaging that much, that's a whack of water volume to evaporate in just three hours.  My RESMED Autoset  reservoir has a capacity, full up to the brim, closing carefully and walking slowly back to the bedroom to reinstall it, of 1.66 cups.  If you can get through that with a modicum of pressure in just three hours, your settings are very high and/or you have a leak somewhere.
