RE: CPAP Insomnia
I must be weird cause I don't even notice my pressure of 9.5. Sometimes I have to take off the mask to see if it's going.

RE: CPAP Insomnia
julrez9,
I think your main problem is anxiety and getting used to Cpap therapy. Talk to your doctor. You need to find a way to adapt to therapy without taking unnecessary medications. When I first started, I experienced a lot of anxiety. My doctor told me that I probably wouldn't be alive in 5 years if I didn't make this work. He was serious and it scared me. I went home that day, and found this forum and started to read as much as I could about this condition. I made a commitment to myself and my family to make this work. Now over a year later, I can't even believe that I was that anxious. It is second nature now. Your pressure of 4 is low, almost too low. It should be set higher, then you can set the EPR (exhale pressure relief) to help you breath against the pressure. Another thing, you aren't stuck with using a mask you hate. Find a supplier that will work with you! Give this therapy a chance. It's up to you!
