[CPAP] Newbie ready for guru input
#71
RE: Newbie ready for guru input
Well, finally, I get to the scheduling of picking up the ASV. I should be getting a call from the DME within 2 hours to arrange getting it. Looking forward to sleeping again with rest afterward as well I'm hoping. Ironic that the sleep study on June 30th was the last restful sleep I had recently. I have to guess they're just being nice now, because they're tired of me calling every other day, but so be it. Updating later as more info is available. Oh, yeah, I did forget to post those ASV sleep study items... Oh-jeez

PSG for ASV and the Echo test included. For some reason, these aren't showing up very clear. I think the printer is at fault, so these images may be rather less than useful.

That's a very good report that is calling out ASVauto for your prescription with an EPAP range of 13-20 and PS 2-12. The EPAP min seems a bit high, but they appear to have done a good titration procedure. I think as time goes by you may want to experiment with lower EPAP minimum starting pressures, but overall looks good to me.

You may want to edit out the personal information in that image.

They told me they had to use a special tech for ASV sleep study. Oops on personal info. Hints on black-out for next time around?

You can edit images in a program as simple as PAINT to mark out private information. There are better programs, but even simple ones work...just sayin'.

I think a good number of people on this board could titrate ASV, but licensing is about job protection, not expertise.

And you thought YOU were sarcastic!

Copy that Sleeprider. Oh so close to getting the ASV but it still didn't happen today. I'm calling tomorrow AM to check yet again. Guess it's good thing I didn't hold my breath on that call being today... lots-o-coffee Oh-jeez

Edit: I actually used editor on Imgur to black out info. Hope I didn't cover any needed info. Oh and I noticed I'm "younger" after this PSG than I was from the prior one. Neat trick.

I would have knocked out full name, D.O.B. all headers, and a few more. It's an image and probably won't be a problem. I hope you enjoy the same effectiveness with the new machine as they found during the test. You deserve it.

Man, you have been through the wringer on this, and undeserved. I think the first time I looked at your chart, I pegged what was needed. here we are nearly 6-months later, and they finally agree.

Thanks and yes this seems more difficult than it ought to be. I'm just going to keep calling think they're tired of talking to me. Squeaky wheels get the grease and I'm real squeaky at times.
