I did manage to see him earlier, he seems unconcerned in regards to the readings. He asked if my average O2 is staying at a minimum of 88, can anyone tell me how to check the average?

Oscar does NOT measure 02. You will need to buy a O2 monitor that records over night. I own the cheapest monitor (CMS50F) but you can find many for sale on Amazon any where $100 on up

You had low oxygen levels pre-cpap, and the chart you posted a month ago shows your oxygen level while on Cpap dropping a couple times to very low levels.

Do you have a current OSCAR graph showing Oxygen levels we can look at? Are you still monitoring it?

When do you see your doctor? He should have ordered Oxygen for you to use along with Cpap therapy.

I'm not an Oscar person but was wondering how it could read O2 levels. It sounds like maybe your pressures are so high it's effecting your lungs. I can't deal with a pressure of 9, my lungs blow up like balloons and can feel it in the morning. Maybe lower pressures?

Sam is (or was) using an overnight oxygen monitor from her doctor.

I had an oximeter for a few weeks that was measuring my O2. Oscar just showed me the readings.

I had an oximeter attachment for my cpap for a few weeks but had to return.

I'll attach some of the readings from the beginning of May. Spoke with my doctor last week and he said as long as my average O2 stays above 88% it should be fine I'm just not sure how to figure out the average here. In regards to pain we lowered the pressure to 10-20 instead of 16-25.

My apnea is SEVERE, at testing it was 100 episodes per hour.

Your doctor is an idiot. Sorry, but I'm furious with him on your behalf. On two of the three charts you posted, you had sustained periods during which your O2 levels were below 85. It doesn't matter what the average is; you need to keep the O2 levels at or above 89 all night, except for short spikes downward.

Here is a hypothetical example to illustrate why the average doesn't matter. If half the night you're at 85 and half the night you're at 95, your average will be 90. But it is very bad to be at 85 half the night.

I'm afraid you'll need to work hard to advocate for yourself. Get back to your doctor right away, explaining that you had O2 level below 89 for periods of 30-90 minutes (or whatever) during 5 out of the 10 most recent nights you wore a monitor (or whatever). If that doesn't get you supplemental O2, then please consult another doctor.

Also, if you can possible afford it, buy yourself a monitor that is compatible with Oscar so you can keep tracking your O2.

There's some urgency to this. Please take action.
