RE: Pressure show disconntect
hi nickykany.
this is pure speculation: pressure was almost at its highest for that session just before the gap so maybe you were disturbed by that and maybe without ever really waking up you shut the machine off. maybe you breathed through your mouth during the gap. maybe you started breathing through your nose again and/or sleepily readjusted the nasal mask which enabled a good seal for nose breathing and triggered the auto start function of the machine and you were back in business! best I can do. crazy as it might sound, it's not impossible you do this multiple nights. IDK. maybe someone else will have a better explanation. I haven't followed them carefully enough to summarize them but there have been other recent threads about gaps in data. you can search this forum for them.

RE: Pressure show disconntect
Yes it certainly would affect both quality of sleep and how effective the CPAP therapy would be. That is especially true if you are using any type of mask that is not full face.
The reason breathing through your mouth will cause this is it would be a pretty big air leak. One that probably can't be overcome by the CPAP machine's best efforts.
