[CPAP] ResMed S9/S10 CPAP EPR vs BiLevel PS at same value - are they the same or different?

Ignoring the other settings, if you set ResMed S9/S10 CPAP EPR and BiLevel PS at same value, will they function the same?

Joey, I have a Vauto and my wife uses an Airsense 10. If I look at the mask pressure chart with EPR 3 and PS 3, they are indistinguishable. Your research into the Resmed algorithm is good, but I don't see how that last chart jives with the other 4 charts using EPR with Easybreathe. All of them have a characteristic wave form of pressure change, while the last has brief dips below the CPAP pressure, and the BPAP pressure is shown as a square wave, unmodified by Easybreathe. That last figure was used in the JTD article to illustrate the principles of CPAP and BPAP pressure delivery, but is not representative of how either Resmed or Philips actually delivers pressure relief and pressure support.
