[CPAP] Second Dreamstation possible

RE: Second Dreamstation possible
If it fits your needs and budget get a second machine. Once you have met compliance, you are good to go. If anyone needs to compile compliance data between two machines, it's not hard to do. #Sleepyhead will do it. Seriously, if it's ever an issue tell them you use two machines

I'd say the doc would only be obligated to monitor machine 1. Would they help on machine 2? Maybe. Is it needed? No. Duplicate the setup of machine 1 and use it at location 2 or as the travel machine.

If it turns out you need to show compliance keep a separate sd card for each machine. Just be sure to label the cards so you know which goes to which machine and keep the cards with you.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think docs monitor the machines to begin with. That's the job of the DMEs. Docs supposedly have more important things to do, like billing their time at $400/hour.

(Sar-Dave mentioned the Pink Floyd song "Money" a while ago, and I believe that's right and the most relevant line is "I think I need a Learjet.")

If your dr needs to know your info (mine does not, since my insurance doesn't require compliance), then you could:
1) adjust the settings on your 2nd machine to be the same.
2) move the memory card from your home one to your travel one when you travel.

I don't know if the memory card swap would work for your info for your doctor.  But that's what I do for my Sleepyhead for myself.

Some one should erase this bad advice. See posts below.

IMO there is not a need to erase this. It's a relevant part of the discussion of the topic thread, and therefore a part of the learning experience.

SarcasticDave is correct.  Just because a member doesn’t quite understand something or may “unknowingly” post information that is not quite accurate, is not a reason to delete their post.  Removing it wouldn’t make sense to the flow of the thread.

This is a place where we learn from one another, and if you go back and reread the post and the ones that follow, you will see that the information was righted by others. Smile

As I already mentioned, it's all part of our collective learning experience. Even if we post something inaccurate, others can correct, then we all learn from it. And we all can join together and enjoy virtual coffee & donuts in the break room. No harm nor foul IMO.
