[CPAP] System One Resistance Control for Brevida Nasal Pillow Mask
#1
System One Resistance Control for Brevida Nasal Pillow Mask
Hello fellow Apnea sufferers

I have just received my Clinician Guide for my Philips-Respironics DreamStation Auto CPAP (thank you Apnea board!)

However, one of the adjustments is for 'Mask Type'
Mine is a Brevida Nasal Pillow Mask

It states I should refer to the packaging for the Resistance Setting (or System One Resistance Control)
It also states that this setting is very important.

I have looked & looked and then looked again, but I cannot find anywhere where it states about any Resistance setting

Please advise

The setting is found on all Phillips Respironics masks. If using a different brand mask, leave the setting to off.

If the setting was truly important, Respironics would publish resistance settings for other makes of masks, or at least different styles.

As OpalRose, said, it only applies to Respironics masks, which have it stamped somewhere - unless it's an Amara View. And I can't find my package for it...

If the mask is not a Respironics they recommend you turn of the resistance.
