[CPAP] The lower I take my pressure, the less I require?
#1
The lower I take my pressure, the less I require?
Take a look at this data.

I played with the max pressure setting. Last year I had it at 14 and my max pressure was 11.

Then I lowered it to 10 and max pressure is 8
Lowered again to 8 and max pressure is now 6??

I would expect the max pressure to be hitting my max setting of 8, 10. Because last year my max was 11 at a setting of 14

What's going on? Should I lower my setting again now from 8 to 6.5 because it's telling me my max pressure is 6.12? Do I even have sleep apnea anymore? lol

My sleep study said severe last year.

Lot's of things can affect your AHI and pressures. Weight change and sleep position are two common causes. You still have sleep apnea though.

Regardless of the settings, your AHI has been consistently less than 1 at all trial settings. The difference between 0.8 and 0.4 is pretty meaningless from a therapeutic point of view. Based on what I'm seeing here, your effective therapeutic pressure is somewhere between 6 and 8 cm. You are fortunate to have effective control of your apnea at relatively low pressures. There is probably no need for you to make further adjustments to pressure, however I think setting a range of 5.0 to 9.0 looks pretty good from this distance.
