Question Transcend Software
Hi alltogether,
my story in a few words:
After I feel asleed at work, in the plane, in my car, even at the sex... my doctor told me about sleep-apnoe.
I went to an hospital and they gave me a Fisher&Paykel (loud, BIG, unconfortabel [no auto-on/off]).
I was very unhappy with it and after an auction on ebay I find my way with a sleepCube.

For my journeys & camping i decide for a Transcend2.
My journey starts with 18mBar, but after 8 month, a lot of workouts in the gym, transform fat into muscles, I'm down to 10mBar.
This is the reason 'cause I need to adjust the presure.

Here in Germany are some things different to the US.
This is the reason why I don't get the the software to adjust my presure.

I allready tried to get the software from the website "mytransend" but I got no response from there...

Is the a way to get the software from "somewhere"?

Sorry for my bad english, I'm still working to make it better.
Regards, Hermanthegerman

RE: Transcend Software
I've never heard of the Transcend2 machine. There's a free open source software package called SleepyHead, available from SourceForge. You might check with them and see if itworks with your machine.

The favorite machines here are the ResMed and the Philips Respironics.

Its discussed in this thread that you need to Email Somnetics and provide serial number for your machine

RE: Transcend Software
I found the software at the mytranscend website. It is the US site and it doesn't mention a Transcend II but a Google search shows it is available at a lot of online suppliers.

Go to the mytranscend website.
On the left, click resources.
Manuals and the software are downloadable there.

I tried to download and install one of the software. For some reason, they have it by web browser and I tried the Google Chrome one. Downloaded it. Started the install. But it failed. I checked and, duh, I don't have that browser anymore. I downloaded the one for Internet Explorer (a much larger file) and am installing it now. It is taking forever to install. It probably uses the browser to view the data and needs certain files from within the browser software.

Okay, well, it is STILL installing. Back later.

Edited to add: gave up. the install was taking too long and I am not in a patient mood today.

RE: Transcend Software
Respironic's Encore is slow like that, too. Slow to install, slow to load. Slow to generate reports. Just plain slow.

RE: Transcend Software
I cancelled it after 4 minutes of just sitting there. Then I couldn't uninstall it so just dragged/dropped the folder it created. I'll install it some night after I go to bed then uninstall it to clean it out.

The Transcend is an itty bitty machine.
