Is the machine still under warranty?

Sorry, didn't catch that when I first read your post. I thought you had a newer ResMed A10.
I don't know or understand how that works in your country, but they gave you a machine that is more than likely not new and it's what we call a "brick", meaning you will not be able to retrieve any useful data except hours of use.
Because of the excess noise level that bothers you plus the fact it isn't a data capable machine, you should complain and try to get it replaced with an upgraded machine.
The newer machines are pretty silent, you shouldn't have to put up with a wheezing sound all night.
Good luck and keep us informed.
