pressure--cpap
I started at pressure 7--used the forum format--went to 9.5 in .5 increments--over 4 or 5 days for each increment-felt fine--I realize that 20 is the highest--when I go higher.have some discomfort in chest -not bad--have the ramp feature. is this something you just get used to ? I think if I can increase the pressure,. most of problems will be eliminated.have a remstar plus c-flex--hope to upgrade to remstar pro--need info. now, if possible. thank you for your continuing help--Martha ott

RE: pressure--cpap
Since you have the Plus model, there's no data for you to tell if the pressure raising is working. The only thing you have to go by is how you feel.

What problems prompted you to raise the pressure?
Was 7 your prescribed pressure?

Take a deep breath and count to zen.

Why are you increasing the pressure? What does your doctor say your pressure should be?
I had an AUTO machine and found that as the pressure went up so did my apneic events which in turn cause the machine pressure to rise which then caused more apnea.
More pressure is not necessarily a good thing. You need to be getting good quality restorative sleep along with your CPAP to feel better. Please don't keep increasing the pressure
without a doctors advice, Martha. If you do upgrade your machine be sure to get one with data collecting option. Knowing your AHI and leak rate I find invaluable in monitoring my treatment. Good luck, keep us posted on how you're doing.
